Episode Five – Who is the most underrated player in Premier League history?

We’re back to the original team this week – Jon, Robin and Paddy enjoy a glorious reunion around the mic stands.

As has become tradition, the team discuss a number of Talking Points:

  • More like Investor City… The Financial Chicanery that Underpins Leicester

Paddy, the closest aToJoS gets to an investigative journalist (or a journalist, now that you mention it), explores the story which broke yesterday concerning Leicester City’s alleged flaunting of Financial Fair Play rules. Does this, he asks, sour their recent success on the pitch?

  • I am De Bruyne and Only – Does Modern Football Suffer from a Fetishism of the Individual?

With jaw-dropping prescience, Jon talks Kevin De Bruyne and the remarkable impact he has had in recent weeks on Manchester City’s season. What, though, is the reason that De Bruyne has been overlooked until now as a great player? Jon suggests it might be more to do with the insidious individualism that has crept into the modern game.

  • From Borussia with Love – Dortmund from Klopp to Tuchel

Robin is desperate for edgy women to fall in love with him. He also doesn’t really know much about the Premier League. As a result, this week he continues in his Michael Palin-esque jaunt around Europe. This week he’s in Dortmund. In recent times, Die Schwartzgeleben have become synonymous with Jürgen Klopp. But a new messiah has risen in the East in the form of Thomas Tuchel. Robin explores the ins and outs of this new Dortmund era.

They then turn their attention to the Question No One is Asking which this week is:

Who is the most underrated player in Premier League history?
