Episode Thirty-One – How have video games affected football?

After another week of almost functional alcoholism, I’m back with the rest of the team for another hour of mildly interesting and occasionally pointed football discussion to distract you from the looming inevitability of death.

Speaking of edging closer to death, this week our resident old man and thinking man’s football pundit, Jon Mackenzie, has taken a break from accusing Paddy of involvement of various 1980’s crimes to ponder the complex world of Tottenham Hotspur. He asks: what is going so wrong for the white side of north London?

To be fair to Tottenham, they are hardly the worst thing happening in the world at the minute. Will Geeson wants to talk about the press’s reaction to Wayne Rooney’s scandalous drinking of wine – as an advocate of alcohol’s essential contribution to the flowering of humanity, I for one am sure that this is the most offensive headline the Sun has ever issued.

Finally, I’m going to talk about the barren wasteland that is the mid table. It is essentially football’s equivalent of the American rust belt and I want to address its issues before they band together to elect yet another former reality tv star hellbent on destroying the world.

All this and more on this week’s episode of A Team of John O’Sheas
